This is from December of 2005

When I took my spinning class at County Wool two months ago, I needed to pick up some fiber to play with. Claudia has Angora Rabbits and her bunnies are in all of her fiber. I brought home some beautifully soft angora blend. The dogs couldn’t get enough of this stuff. I’d find them in my craft room literally DROOLING in front of the spinning wheel.. there were times that I would go in there and almost slip on the puddle in front of the wheel… oy.

It was a dream to spin! but it was only a little bit and I’m a new knitter so I made what I could. A neck cowl like thing .. just a really short wide scarf that I sewed closed to make something I could pull over my head.

I loved it.. really really loved it.

So did Qay.

Yeah, she’s right.. It fell into her little clutches.. I heard her and her sister playing keep away with something.. I guess it was my first project.

Oh well.. I frogged it.

It’s all curly so it had to have a bath.

It’s currently hanging and drying. It’s a little fuzzy, but I think I can remake it.

Ah.. dogs.

This is what happens when Qor plays in the hose. She decides to dry herself off.. give it a minute, I turn on the light so you can see better.

things have slowed down a bit. My Targie has a hematoma on his spleen, which means surgery to remove it. We are hoping that this is nothing and not a malignant tumor.

Cross your fingers and paws for my boy.

Took me a while to find this but here it is.

First day back to work today after a LONG weekend.. omg.. I can barely keep my eyes open

I have a bunch more collars to make.. two in the works 1/2 done.. but right now.. I have to iron Shel’s shorts for tomorrow…. and then give the kids their snacks… tomorrow we have someone coming to look at the dryer that suddenly died.

The last relationship I had before my current one was almost 6 years ago.

It wasn’t pretty.  I am so grateful to have found a wonderful partner who loves me for me and not who she wants me to be.

This neat survey gave me a chance to sort of revisit my experience with that last relationship. Although I dont’ want to really think about the yuckiness.. it was nice to compare it to where I am now.
